Frequently Asked Questions |
* How do I find out what the 'Schedule of Courses' will be for next semester?UBIS operates on an annual tri-mester schedule: January, April and September. The next semester's schedule of courses is announced on the Urantia Foundation's website, UBIS page, one month before each semester's registration period begins. Accordingly, during the first week of December, March and August the UBIS "Schedule of Courses Announcement" is available for viewing. |
* How do I register for a course?Registration takes place on the UBIS website. During the 2-week Registration period, click on the word Here which appears in the 1st paragraph of the text on the HOME page. This will bring up the 'Course Offerings' page, and you can view the schedule of courses for the semester. Select a course and click on [Apply]. An Application will appear. Fill out the Application and click on the word [Apply]. |
* Can I pre-register?No, pre-registration is not available, nor is there a pre-registration 'wait list'. Registration is conducted on a 'first come/first served' basis, so it is advisable to apply for a course sometime during the first week of the 2-week registration period. |
* How do I know that I am accepted as a student? As soon as the UBIS administrator accepts your application and registers you, an automatic website-generated email is sent to you, notifying you that you are enrolled. Additional information is provided, including your initially assigned password, so that you are ready to login on the first day of the course. |
* My Password doesn't work. What should I do?First, be sure you enter the password with the appropriate capital letters and spacing. If you were initially successful in logging in, and then changed your password, click on [Forgot Password] on the Login page. This will generate a personal email to you, giving you your password. |
* Can I respond/reply to the teacher's website-generated emails that I receive? No, the emails sent to you by your teacher, via the website, are 1-way communications only. They are mainly used for information purposes, announcements and directions, and do not require a reply. This is a feature of the website that provides the teacher the assurrance that his/her students receive the necessary information. |
